After the Nargis

The devastating Cyclone called Nargis had hit Myanmar
Ayerwaddy delta region as well as Yangon areas
from 2nd May midnight until early morning of 3rd
May' 2008. It was the worst Cyclone disaster
which had ever made land fall into Myanmar,
causing severe casualties and damages to most of
the buildings, leaving the entire regions
without power and water supply for several days.
During such miserable period, Sakura Residence
was successfully able to maintain the perfect 5
star service quality to all its tenants with
continuous power supply, all necessary utilities
and services without any interruptions.
Despite the shortage and difficulties of all operating
supplies, F&B items and power fuels, Sakura
Residence had already well prepared and had
always kept stocks of all above supplies in
advance, as a result, all services have never
been disrupted during the post Cyclone period.

According to the increasing demands and our
continuous effort of upgrading the facilities,
The Installation of the in-room Internet Access
is now underway and expected to be available
from early January 2008. There will be only $100
non-refundable activation fees and $35 monthly
fees for interested tenants party.

The Sakura Families & Kids Party |
|
The
Sakura families and kids party was celebrated on
Saturday 11th August 2007 from 12 noon to 3 pm
at 20th floor of Sakura Tower ¡V Sky Lounge, an
affiliate property of Sakura Residence. There
were lunch buffet, ice-creams, cotton candies,
soft drinks, caricatures drawings during the
party. Over 20 Sakura Kids, their parents and
friends enjoyed the party.

Christmas Party Of Sakura Residence |

Annual
Christmas Party was celebrated at Sakura
Residence swimming pool deck area on the evening
of Dec 8, 2006, about 400 esteemed guests
attended the party including most in house
tenants & kids, guests from UNs, NGOs,
Embassies and Corporates. There were
international buffet, drinks and Live music
entertainments.
There
is also a Santa Clause giving away Christmas
Presents to all in-house kids at the lobby with
refreshment treatments on the same day. |

Annual Fire seminar, Fire Drill & Fire
Fighting Demonstration were conducted on 25th
November 2006, Saturday noon at Sakura Residence
pool side coordinated & monitored by
District Fire Fighting Department officials
& several Firemen. Most Residence operation
staff & tenants participated in the
activities. |

2nd Sakura Golf Tournament |
| The second in-house tenant Golf Tournament organized by Sakura Residence was successfully held in the morning 6 am of 18th Nov 2006 with 23 contestants including 4 female Golfers at Yangon Golf Club, followed by buffet lunch & prize awarding ceremony at the Brasserie of Sakura Residence. All award winning prizes are contributed and sponsored by Golf Store, Air lines and Suppliers. |

Several in house kids wearing different Halloween costumes visited to designated Residence units and greeted trick or treating as a Halloween celebration on 31st October evening.

The First Sakura Back To School Kids Party
|

|
The very first Sakura Residence Back to School Kids party was successfully celebrated on 12th August from 2 PM to 5 PM at the corridor of Brasserie. There were snack buffet, ice creams, cotton candies (making on site), Soft drinks, Caricature Drawing, Magic Shows entertainment and varieties of game contests during this party. Over 50 in house kids (age ranging from 3 to 13) enjoyed this event along with their parents.

1st Sakura Residence Golf Tournament
|

The First in-house tenant Golf Tournament organized by Sakura Residence was successfully held in the morning 6 AM of 28th May 2006 with 18 contestants at Yangon Golf Club. The awarding ceremony was held in the same day evening and there were several award winning prizes contributed and sponsored by a number of Golf Stores, Airlines and Suppliers.

The Semi-Annual Tenant's Party was celebrated on 28th May 2006 evening together with prize awarding ceremony of Golf Tournament. Most in-house tenants attended the party and enjoyed the international buffet dinner with varieties of drinks and live musics. It is also bidding farewell to those who are leaving the country and welcoming to those who've just recently joined the Sakura Family. Besides, all Sakura Residents have the chance of meeting with one another and building up friendship.

Thingyan Water Festivals at Sakura Residence
|
|
|
Thingyan Water Festival is one of the biggest events in Myanmar as well as a Myanmar New Year Holidays. Sakura Residence celebrates this Water Festivals with a mini water playing pandal in front of its premises by the road side. Many in house tenants, kids and the staff participated in playing water with one another and passerby cars through out the festival period from 13th April to 16th April 2006.

The Annual Staff Party of Sakura Residence was celebrated on 26th Feb from 5 PM to 9 PM. A lot of in house tenants and suppliers had supported the event with contributions in various kinds such as gift vouchers, cash, souvenior and electronics items, all of wihich are put into the lucky draw programs. There were also sing-song competition, talent show tournament & F&B treatment.
